Get ready for heavy machines

Park Village Auctions (PVA) will sell African Outback's equipment and stock as one lot this month. African Outback specialised in the manufacture of utility roller drawers for 4x4's and double cabs, prior to the company's liquidation.

Equipment and machinery to be sold includes a 2004 Durma Hap 30120 120 ton hydraulic press brake and tooling, a 1992 Thomas 350 steel cut-off machine, a 2004 Elumatec MGS 72/30 aluminium cut-off machine, an Elumatic aluminium router, a Metabo KG5 305 cut-off saw, a Bosch GOF 1300 Ace Rou-ter, a Helvi Maxmig 308N CO² welder, a CMM 280 CO² welder, an Arfa RF40 milling machine, a Miller syncowave 350 LX welder, a 4m x 6m spray booth, a large assortment of Panasonic WP300-AC/DC Tig welders and a Panasonic Cut Star PS-60 plasma cutter.

Work-in-progress stock and raw material, steel, stainless steel, completed roof racks, ca-nopies, water bladders, bumpers, an assortment of roof and rail racks, assorted hatch templates, table jigs for bumpers and drawings will also be sold.

In addition, a small collection of vehicles will also be auctioned, says PVA’s Paul Lendia. These include a 2011 Toyota Land Cruiser 4.2LDV, a 2010 Nissan NP300 2.5 TDI LWB LDV, a 2008 KIA 2.7D drop side LDV and a Doosan Daewoo D25GX 2.5 ton forklift.

Given the company’s area of focus, similarly aligned entities should make a note of this sale, says Lendia.

But the equipment and stock can easily be repurposed for other concerns due to their fairly broad scope of use. The majority of the assets are “in good nick” and the vehicles have plenty of “juice” left in them, he said.
