Sophie Ndaba’s company in over R23 million tax debt – reports

The actress' Sophla Trading is allegedly in hot water with the Sars.

Sars has reportedly ordered Sophie Ndaba’s company, Sophla Trading, to settle more than R23 million of outstanding tax debt.

According to City Press, Sars has sent a letter to Sophie, threatening to auction off Sophla Trading’s assets if she fails to settle the R23 617 304.64 bill within 10 business days.

The publications added that the letter, which was sent earlier this month, 3 November, was a second letter of demand as the first one was sent in June this year.

Sophie’s tax woes came a few weeks after she launched a new project called She’s A Wonder.

The Citizen has reached out to Sophie for a comment. This article will be updated when she responds.

About Sophi Ndaba’s ‘She’s A Wonder’

Sophie launched She’s A Wonder, an empowering and healing platform for women, in May this year.

She said the project is a platform that is a safe space for women to find hope, inspiration, and love.

On the day of the launch, she took to her Instagram page to celebrate, thanking everyone who went to support her.

“Lord, I thank you for using me and my story to ensure mothers and broken women out there. Remember that you are a God who restores, and you are dependable. Lord, I never doubted today I would be standing here giving you all the glory and honour for my restoration and a start to a new season you have activated!

“She’s A Wonder is a project you told me to do. Saturday, 13th May 2023, we did it! It’s officially here. A platform that is a safe space for women to breathe a new breath of hope, inspiration, and love. Lord, you are love, and I pray you continue to order my steps with “She’s A Wonder,” she wrote.
