TV presenter Xolani Khumalo was the latest guest on DJ Sbu’s podcast, The Hustlers Corner and he opened up about death threats, Moja Love, Sizok’thola, and other issues.
Xolani was recently fired from Moja Love, where he presented the channel’s popular drug-busting show, Sizok’thola.
He said Sizok’thola compromised his safety as he started getting death threats when he was still shooting the show.
He added: “There is a guy I busted in Richard’s Bay and he is behind bars, but he is still operating and killing people who were linked with me.
“Now that I don’t work, I am available in the community, and I have to watch where I go and who I meet with.”
He said shooting the show was not easy because some people protected the criminals, especially in the poverty-stricken communities.
“They usually idolise drug dealers because they get money from them … They buy groceries for some of them,” he said.

The TV presenter stands accused of the murder of an alleged drug dealer, Robert Varrie, who died during the filming of Sizok’thola.
He said he will return to court later this month, on 21 November.
“The case is still under investigation, and I am going to court on 21 November. So, I can’t say much because I don’t want to compromise the police’s job, but the person that they are charging is me.”
Explaining what happened the day the alleged drug dealer died, Moja Love said in a statement: “Based on information currently at our disposal, we are advised that following a community tip-off, the crew on 19 July, attended a drug bust in Katlehong and did so in conjunction with community law enforcement groups, as is customary, that is recognised by the local Saps.
“It is our understanding the information received by the crew and the local community groups was credible and verifiable. While Moja Love can confirm the crew was within the vicinity of the premises when the deceased was being questioned …”
