Why Pearl Thusi did not attend Da Les’ party

Rapper Da Les hosted his annual all white pool party in Bryanston on Saturday. All the A-listers of Mzansi’s entertainment world were in attendance – well, except Pearl Thusi and Cassper Nyovest.

Thusi did say she wanted to attend the party but could not make it because her daughter, who she has with Walter Mokoena, did not want her to go. She took to Twitter to explain herself to her followers.

Fans, however, were curious as to whether she decided to skip the event because Bonang Matheba was also in attendance. Even DJ Zinhle is said to have made an appearance – and she has an even bigger axe to grind with Matheba.

Thusi was suspended from Metro FM recently, allegedly over comments she made on-air about Matheba.

The Twittersphere also had a theory as to why Cassper Nyovest was not at the party; some say he was not invited because Da Les is AKA’s best friend, and well, Cassper and AKA don’t really get along.

Some joked that he was not invited because of his black pony as the party was an all-white party. His girlfriend Boity Thulo however went without him.
