#Sama29 loading: No venue yet…but here’s the record and video of the year nominees!

Sama nominees Wanitwa Mos and Master KG are the frontrunners alongside Daliwonga, with Costa Titch and AKA both receiving posthumous nods.

South African Music Awards (Samas) nominees for the coveted Record of the Year and Music Video of the Year categories have been announced with powerhouse musical duo Wanitwa Mos and Master KG leading the pack with nominations alongside Daliwonga.

The prestigious awards ceremony for the 29th edition of Samas is set to take place on Saturday 18 November in what its organiser, the Recording Industry of SA (RiSA), promised to be a “thrilling celebration” in its latest statement.

Where exactly the “thrilling celebration” will be taking place, remains to be seen as the eThekwini municipality pulled out of hosting the event in Durban after President Cyril Ramaphosa advised the KwaZulu-Natal government not to sponsor and host the Samas due to financial reasons.
