Daily hacks: Tips and advice to hide and improve your cellulite

By Lerato Maimela

Although cellulite is completely normal and most women across the world already have it or will get it some time in their life due to merely ageing, it can be a little bit of a confidence buster and can leave you feeling insecure about your body.

If you are not a fan of your visible cellulite then we have some tips and advice on how you can hide it this festive season, and work on reducing it and making it less visible on your body.

Hiding your cellulite in clothing

Many people may be on vacation right now to celebrate the festive season, and this usually means spending more time outside and in the sun, enjoying the day time scenes of whichever town they may be in.

People tend to head to the beach during this season, which means that more people will be in swimsuits and shorts.

If you are insecure with your visible cellulite, then you should consider wearing shorts which are long enough to cover your cellulite, long sun dresses, or wrapping yourself with a cute and stylish beach wrap which goes well with your swimsuit.

Remember, having cellulite is completely normal. Do not beat yourself up about it!

Exercise and working out

Because cellulite is fat which is stored underneath the skin and is seen through lumpy, dimpled flesh which appears on your thighs, hips, bums and tummy, the best way to remove it or reduce it would be exercising to decrease the fat cells under your skin and tighten your skin.

Some of the best workouts to reduce your cellulite are:

Change your diet

Just like exercise, diet is also extremely important in losing weight and reducing the appearance of your cellulite. You need to start eating clean and cutting out takeaways, processed foods and sugary snacks.

Dehydration is also a contributing factor to the build up of cellulite because not drinking enough water can prevent your body from effectively eliminating toxins and waste which can increase your visible cellulite.

Here are some of the foods which you can add to your diet which can help eliminate your cellulite:
