WATCH: #MatorokisiChallenge takes Mzansi by storm

South Africans can expect a music video soon.

In 2018, South Africans were “fainting” to King Monada’s Malwedhe while also wondering what would come next. It seems another musician from Limpopo, Ndivhudzannyi Ralivhona, popularly known as Makhadzi, may have delivered the new dance craze to the people of Mzansi.

Makhadzi has released a new song called Matorokisi, meaning train coaches, and it has taken Mzansi by storm.

Just like Malwedhe, Matokokisi has sparked a dance challenge on social media which has seen South Africans sharing videos of themselves doing the Matorokisi dance.

Speaking to Sunday World, 23-year-old Makhadzi said the dance move was inspired by the traditional Venda dance Domba, performed by young maidens being initiated into womanhood.

She is currently shooting a music video of the song.
