#HaalAsem with these Lowveld father-and-son duos on their journey along the Orange River

These local dads and sons will travel 2 000km along the Orange River for a good cause.

Three father-and-son teams will tackle the Orange River on a 12-day journey from March 11 to 23 to raise awareness on mental health and its impacts.

The teams consist of local duos Kobus and Francois Jacobs, Guillaume Nel Sr and Jr, and Abrie and Wynand Visser.

The expedition is aptly called ‘Spoorloos’, reminiscent of a boat on the river not leaving a trail. #HaalAsem is the first official adventure on which the Spoorloos team will embark. The teams will travel a total distance of 2 000km in inflatable boats from the source of the Orange River at the Lesotho Border towards its mouth at Alexander Bay in the Northern Cape.

The team members will face physical, mental and emotional challenges on this adventure.
Live updates of their progress will be shared with the public on Spoorloos’s official social media pages. Follow along on the Lowvelder Facebook page to ensure you don’t miss out on the adventure!
