Another popular Casterbridge Market held

The Market at Casterbridge Lifestyle Centre is organised to promote quality locally made products and small businesses.

Before the cold wind could find its way to the Lowveld, the popular Market at Casterbridge Lifestyle Centre again had a great turnout on Sunday June 2.

As always, there was something for everyone. The Lions Club’s stall, sponsored by the organisers, offered free screening for diabetics. Keen shoppers, spoilt for choice, enjoyed live music while buying products from the area’s talented community.

This monthly market has become known for its large selection of authentic home-made products and delectable foods. The organiser, Peta de Wet, said the purpose of the market is to promote quality Lowveld products and small businesses on the first Sunday of each month.

“We are calling on locals and people outside our regions to enjoy and support the market, because without their support, some of these small businesses will not survive. At our market, we always strive to sell quality products, made locally. I would like to thank all those who had been supporting us the past few years,” she said.

De Wet also said the market is kid- and animal-friendly, to make it a special day for the entire family.
