Top players to learn from tennis pro in America
Top-ranked u/11 tennis players of Lowveld Junior Tennis, Arili Boshoff and Jovan Lubbe will travel to America next year for a training camp by top-notch instructor from America, Abrie du Plooy.

Over 40 junior tournament players of Mpumalanga attended a free tennis camp this past weekend. American pro, Du Plooy was the guest instructor who has played on the ATP Tour and is currently in the top-15 ranking in the USAs men’s 35.

It was by invitation only, and the big prize was two fully-paid scholarships to the US for the most-talented boy and girl. “We are proud to say that they are locals. Congratulations to Arili and Jovan who are the winners of this amazing prize,” vice-chairman of Lowveld Tennis Association, Sareta Moller Lubbe said.

Arili, who has played for Laerskool Nelspruit’s first tennis team since grade four, was part of this year’s Ehlanzeni u/11 team who won gold. Jovan, was ranked number one in his age group, after the closed-4 tournament by winning his match against Dylan Ormiston. He has been been playing for Ehlanzeni’s u/11 since grade two.
