This is what Lowvelder does when we get neknominated!

Lowvelder was neknominated on February 18 by George Herald to perform and act of kindness within seven days. This is what we did....

NELSPRUIT – Lowvelder wasted no time in collecting items from staff members and in approaching local companies to donate toward a worthy cause.

Care for Wild Africa is home to many wild animals requiring care and treatment before being returned to their natural habitat. Some will need a permanent refuge at the centre.

Lowvelder, Heidel Eggs, Mataffin Dairy and Mopani Pharmacy contributed necessities like cleaning products, six litres of milk a day for one month, six dozen eggs per day, glucose and medical supplies. This will assist Petronel Niewoudt of Care for Wild Africa greatly in her daily task of caring for, amongst others, baby hippo Emma, three young caracals, orphaned rhinos and several birds.

At Caxton, we employ humans to generate daily fresh news, not AI intervention. Happy reading!
