Shopping centre celebrates spring by supporting young entrepreneurs
We at the Tubatse Crossing marketing division believe in supporting local school initiatives and encourage young people to become independent and future entrepreneurs
BURGERSFORT – Tubatse Crossing celebrated Spring Day on September 5 by hosting a mini-fashion show in the exhibition courtyard.
“The marketing division was approached by a group of five grade-nine learners from Calvin College, who call themselves Limited Edition. The young girls requested that a shop in the mall partner with them by providing new spring outfits that they would showcase. Ackermans joined hands with the young ladies in their endeavour. We at the Tubatse Crossing marketing division believe in supporting local school initiatives and encourage young people to become independent and future entrepreneurs,” said Caroline Modjadji, marketing manager.
Limited Edition is holding a fund-raising fashion show on September 12 at Calvin College hall. They will be showcasing the same outfits from the previous event, sponsored by Ackermans. The group also lobbied other talent to perform on the day and one of the local doctors will present a talk on health and hygiene.
The entrance fee for children is R10 and for adults, R20. Proceeds will be used to purchase a laptop that will be shared among the group members for the next three years to help with their studies. The aim is to donate the laptop to a group of other learners after they have completed matric.
