Spring has finally sprung!

The toddlers of Krappies and Krefies pre-primary school was geared up and ready for Spring. The children were excited about the end of winter and the first spring flowers that have sprung at the school.

South Africa Celebrates spring Day on the 1 September each year. Spring day traditions in South Africa range from having a traditional braai to shaving your head and beard. In many towns, children celebrate Spring Day by spraying each other with water.

Spring and “springtime” refer to the season, and also to ideas of rebirth, rejuvenation, renewal, resurrection and regrowth.
