MBOMBELA – The ACTOM Nelspruit branch recently held an open day where the company invited all its suppliers to showcase and give information on the products that are sold at the branch. Customers were also invited to meet the suppliers.
ACTOM is one of the largest manufacturers, solution providers, repairers and distributor of electro-mechanical equipment on the continent. It also builds tailor-made substations and other electrical products for Eskom.
New electrical products were also unveiled to customers on and included improved meter boxes, cables accessories and power substations.
The company provides prepaid meter boxes, substation sockets and overhead cables to local municipalities. Services are also provided to local mines.
ACTOM’s suppliers include CBI Africa, CCG, 3D Electricals and Genlex, and customers could enquire about their products directly from representatives of these companies.
“We decided to have a small get-together with our customers. It’s a way of thanking them for their support and continued trust in our products,” said ACTOM’s Ms Natasha Potgieter.
Most customers found the open day to be an effective method of learning about the products available at ACTOM.
“Sometimes it is a good thing to expand your knowledge on products as it enables you to use them in the correct way,” said customer, Mr Jacob Mlangeni.
Branch manager of ACTOM, Ms Mondie de Klerk, added, “We think this will help us to cement our relationship with customers. It’s a way of showing appreciation that we don’t only care about their money but we want to build a relationship we them.”
