Post office launches app to track packages

The app tracks and traces both South African and international parcels via the allocated tracking numbers.

The SA Post Office (Sapo) has launched a free app to allow customers to keep track of all their parcels and locate the nearest Post Office branches.

The app, simply called ‘South African Post Office’, is available free of charge on the Google Playstore for Android devices and on the iStore for Apple devices.

The app tracks and traces both South African and international parcels via the allocated tracking numbers.

The app also has a “find a branch” functionality, which uses satellite navigation to locate the user, and then provides all Post Office branches within a radius of 10 kilometres within their street address and contact details.
