Two Ethiopians are allegedly murdered in barbaric manner
Police on a hunt to find the murderers of two Ethiopians.

MALALANE – A second Ethiopian national was killed in the area last week. This comes three months after the first was murdered. Police could not say whether it had stemmed from possible xenophobia.
According to Col Leonard Hlathi, provincial police spokesman, the first Ethiopian to be killed was
Mr Abera Heramo Kebede (41),
who was shot in his shop on
May 9 in Naas. “The suspects fled the scene in a grey Toyota Corolla with registration number DGZ 489 MP, which was later found abandoned on the road in Mafambisa. Nothing else was taken.”
According to Hlathi, Mr Lapojo Koyamo (31) was shot just a few metres outside his shop which is situated in Block B, also Tonga, on August 10. He said information received revealed that Koyamo was apparently accosted by two unknown men while in the process of closing shop. Hlathi said the attackers apparently wrestled with him and it was during that moment that he was shot and severely injured. “Arrangements were made that he should be transported to the hospital, but unfortunately he died there due to his injuries.”
He said in both cases which he described as barbaric, no one has yet been arrested. “We therefore appeal to the public to assist the police with information which may lead to those responsible being nabbed.”
