GA MOTODI – Tubatse police conducted a campaign with other stakeholders at the village last Thursday.

The Victim Empowerment Programme, Department of Health, Department of Justice, LoveLife and several home-based care centres in the area were all involved.

It was part of 16 Days of Activism For No Violence Against Woman and Children and addressed policy and legal issues. It also called for the protection of abuse victims and the elimination of these crimes.

Learners and the community were educated on ways to prevent domestic violence, sexual abuse against women and children and drug abuse.

Pamphlets with crime-prevention hints were also distributed and learners entertained the crowd with drama, poems and singing.
