NELSPRUIT – An man allegedly suspected of carrying an illegal firearm was accidentally run over by a car on Madiba Drive earlier today.
The accident occurred just after the traffic lights at the turnoff to Nkomasi fuel. The suspect was allegedly found with an unlicensed firearm in his possession and tried to flee from police.
The driver of the Mahindra bakkie which collided with the man, said he tried to swerve away when the man crossed the road. He ran into the vehicle’s mirror and bumped into the door before falling down in the road.
