KOMATIPOORT  – A normal Saturday afternoon turned into a very unpleasant experience for Mrs . Magdalena Mathabela.
She was innocently walking down  in Rissik Street, with her handbag on one arm and a bag with a bread and an empty lunchbox in the other .
Suddenly,  a man on the other side of the road where the woman was calmly walking  on her  way home, pushed her rudely from the road  and grabbed her handbag .
She threw her hands desperately in the air and threw a questioning look for help from the bystanders.
Bystanders  used their only available weapon and at the  top of their voices began screaming for attention.
The thief took the road with the desperate Mathabela perusing him.
The screaming  had the criminal paused for a moment and possibly out of  unnerving fear that he would be caught , dropped the handbag.
He however  decided  to give up not so easy , and grabbed it  again and ran off .
Mr . Joseph  Mhuli  was riding home on his bicycle  down when this incident unfolded right in front of him.
At that time he was about a 100 meters from where the victim and grab thief were to run .
He accelerates like a real policeman, chasing the two of them.
Mathabela ‘s personal belongings strewn everywhere and the bread and lunchbox has forgotten,  lying on the sidewalk where the incident happened .
After about twenty minutes, Mhluli  along with the victim, returned with happy faces  to  gather her possessions,  the handbag safely back to her arm.
