Funds needed to transport body

Local athlete Aubrey Mabuza visited Barberton Times on Tuesday with a request to assist a family, who has just lost their four-year-old child. The little one was born in Barberton, but the family home was in Swaziland and according to tradition, the body had to be transported there to be buried on home soil.

Mabuza said the family approached him because they knew he was always involved with charity and he wouldn’t turn them away. “It would be greatly appreciated if people can assist this mother,” he said.

The amount on the invoice given by the funeral home is R2 350. This includes the transport of the body to Swaziland as well as the coffin. Should you wish to make a donation, phone Aubrey on 079-999-9805.
