TONGA -The local police station is appealing to the community of Phiva and Nkomazi to come forth with information which will lead to the arrests of suspects wanted for the murder of a 49-year-old male.
According to the station’s spokesman, Lt Mzwandile Nyambi, the body of Mr Solomon Shabangu was found by his nephew on Saturday evening.
“The body of Shabanga was found inside his house by his nephew. It appears that he was strangled. The reason for the murder has not yet been established, and we are currently investigating. We have asked the nephew of the Shabangu to check if all of his belongings were still there before ruling out attempted robbery,” explained Nyambi.
Nyambi added, “We need the help of community members, and are requesting anyone with information that can assist with the apprehension of the perpetrators.”
Nyambi furthermore stated that, with the help of community members, they have arrested four suspects for business robbery in the same area.
He said, “With the help of the community, we have arrested four male suspects for a business robbery in the same area. They were arrested after the stolen items were found in their possession. It is for that reason that we are calling on the help of community members to bring wrongdoers to justice.”
