MBOMBELA – the case against the The former Head of Mpumalanga’s safety and security Department, Thulani Sibuyi and GNT security owner Vusi Mashaba, resumed in the Mbombela Regional Court today.
It has been confirmed that the prescribed procedures were followed during the tender procurement process.
During the examination of the state witnesses, it was alleged that certain deviations to the initial tender agreement were made after the acceptance thereof.
The submitting of tax reports is a prerequisite to the acceptance of any tender application.
As previously reported by Lowvelder, Mashaba is alleged to have submitted a false tax certificate in support of GNT’s tender application.
It was however confirmed that the committees responsible for the pre-approval reports in these tender procedures do not have the means to verify whether these reports are authentic or not.
