Pep stores donates shoes to needy learners

“We will strive to plough back into our communities in order to change the lives of our customers for the better. We will continue to help where we can,” she said.

DIPHALE – Waiter Letebele Mokoena noticed the daily suffering of learners of Mohlalamorudi Primary School, who had to attend school without shoes.

He then engaged with the Pep Stores in Burgersfort to assist with the donation of shoes to these learners. The store heard Mokoena’s pleas and decided to hand over 36 pairs of shoes to 35 of the poorest pupils at the school. This handover took place on October 24.

The learners were elated and could not wait to wear their new shoes. The school headmaster, Mr Elvis Tlomatsana, said he appreciated Pep Stores and Mokoena’s efforts in assisting these kids. “Some of these learners used to come to school barefoot and others with worn out shoes but that is now a thing of the past. I hope they will focus more on their studies now,” said Tlomatsana.

Pep manager, Ms Priscilla Msibi, said her store always took the needs of the local communities seriously.

“We will strive to plough back into our communities in order to change the lives of our customers for the better. We will continue to help where we can,” she said.
