Bomb threat charge withdrawn against a man with two identities
Some know him as Gustav Olivier. In court, he was called Kenny Swart. This man with blonde hair and blue eyes who lives in Matsulu was free to go after charges against him were withdrawn on Friday.
MBOMBELA – An arrest was made on Wednesday in connection with a bomb threat at Produkta Nissan the previous afternoon. The suspect appeared in court on Friday, but the charge against him was withdrawn.
Lowvelder reported that Produkta Nissan evacuated the building after an anonymous bomb threat was received at 15:45. The intersection at Weir and Crystal streets was temporarily closed off and police and emergency services rushed to the scene.

Mr Gustav Olivier was identified by former colleagues at First in Guards. According to employees at Produkta Nissan and First in Guards, Olivier was previously employed at both companies and they recognised his voice on the other end of the telephone when the bomb threat was made. Olivier was subsequently arrested.
When he appeared in court on Friday, he was addressed as “Kenny Swart”. The case against him was withdrawn as he could not be tied to the crime and was free to go.
“I am very relieved,” he said afterwards. “People were saying that I am a bomb maker in those cells. It was very bad.” Olivier then reunited with his girlfriend, only known as Patricia, and took the taxi to Matsulu, where he has been living for the past two years.
