BURGERSFORT – Two weeks ago Steelburger/Lydenburg News reported on two theft incidents at Tubatse Crossing.
The community gave a lot of feedback on this story. The newspaper therefore decided to do an update story to encourage citizens not to be afraid to go to the mall.
“We have taken note of the previous report in the newspaper about the alleged incidents at Tubatse Crossing, although they were not reported to centre management,” said Mr Phasha Makalakatje, centre manager at Tubatse Crossing.
“We want to assure all our customers that their safety is our highest priority. We acknowledge that alone we may not defeat the escalating crime in Burgersfort, but with cooperation from the police, community and other law enforcement agencies we can win the war against crime.
Tubatse Crossing will continue to support and work with the police and other stakeholders to decrease the levels of crime in the town and surrounding areas. We request cooperation from our customers by reporting any suspicious individual to our security, the police or any other law enforcement agency.”
“The festive period is around the corner and Tubatse Crossing, like all other shopping centres in the country, takes this opportunity to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and prosperous New Year.
The mall has a long list of planned activities to make the December period even merrier,” he added.
There are a lot events for the festive season planned at the centre such as the opening of an Educational Centre (December 6), HIV Fun Walk/Music Festival (December 7), Carnival (December 11 until January 3) and donation of food and gifts to orphanages (December 16).
