Teen allegedly raped by 33-year-old
On Monday a 33-year-old man of Steenbok appeared in the Nkomazi Magistrate’s Court for raping a 14-year-old boy on Friday.
TONGA – On Monday a 33-year-old man of Steenbok appeared in the Nkomazi Magistrate’s Court for raping a 14-year-old boy on Friday.
The victim was asleep when the suspect appeared in his bedroom and threatened him with a knife. He ordered the victim to get undressed and raped the boy. He also stole clothes belonging to the victim’s father. While he was attempting to escape, he encountered the boy’s father and stabbed him.
Cases of rape and assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm were opened at Tonga SAPS.
The victim was taken to hospital where it was confirmed that he had been raped. The victim is undergoing counselling.
The suspect was arrested and had appeared in court, where he had been remanded in police custody.
The case was postponed to December 17 for bail application.
