MALALANE – The three remaining suspects in the murder case of Mr Riaan van den Berg appeared in the Periodic Court last Wednesday.
Their case was again postponed due to queries sent by the High Court of Pretoria via the docket during their last court appearance in 2014.
According to the state prosecutor it is the responsibility of the investigating officer to compose answers to the queries and then return the docket to the High Court before January 20. The case was therefore postponed to February 18.
One of the three suspects remains in police custody while the other two have been released on bail.
It has been confirmed that one of the suspects in the murder case did indeed take his own life late last year before their court appearance. He allegedly hanged himself.
On May 30 Van den Berg was found in his farm home with his hands and feet bound together, beaten to death.
