Swadini closed for reality show filming
Access to the Swadini Nature Reserve will temporarily be interrupted due to the filming of a reality TV show from January to April.
MBOMBELA – Access to the Swadini Nature Reserve will temporarily be interrupted due to the filming of a reality TV show from January to April. There will be partial and full closure of the Swadini Waterfall Trail and the Swadini Interpretation Centre as per the schedule below:
• January 11 to 22: Partial exclusivity to the waterfall section of Swadini by the filming company during the set build and technical rigging phases.
• January 23 to March 15: Full exclusivity to Swadini Reserve from the entrance bridge during the shooting and live transmission of the reality series.
• March 16 to April 10: Partial exclusivity to the waterfall section of Swadini Reserve during de-rigging and site restoration.
The filming will be done in accordance with the Mpumalanga Nature Conservation Act No 10 of 1998 and other relevant national environmental legislation.
The Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Agency (MTPA) management apologises for any inconvenience that might be caused.
