‘Big 5’ unite for Kruger conservation concert
Five exceptional South African artists will unite for an unforgettable evening of music in the heart of the Kruger National Park on March 20, 2027.
South Africa is known for its iconic Big Five, but the spotlight will fall on a different kind of Big Five when the celebrated musicians take to the stage at the Kruger Concert for Conservation.
Under the theme ‘Harmony in Nature’, the SANParks Honorary Rangers’ signature fundraising concert will bring together the velvet-voiced Timothy Moloi, acclaimed soprano Lynelle Kenned, celebrated pianists Coenie de Villiers and Rocco de Villiers, and virtuoso violinist Lizelle le Roux for a spectacular celebration of music in the African bushveld.
Just as every sound in nature contributes to the greater whole, each artist brings a distinctive musical identity to this extraordinary line-up.
The programme includes favourites such as The Prayer, Music Box Dancer, Karoonag and O Mio Babbino Caro, alongside traditional Afrikaans boeremusiek, sweeping ballads and violin masterpieces ranging from Handel to Pirates of the Caribbean. It is a musical journey designed to delight, surprise and move audiences.
