Locals show support for Armand Hofmeyr
Armand Hofmeyr, the "Lekkerlyf" singer, had locals singing and dancing to his music on Saturday night at Rooikatte Rugby Club's Hoofkantoor.
LYDENBURG – Armand Hofmeyr, the “Lekkerlyf” singer, had locals singing and dancing to his music on Saturday night at Rooikatte Rugby Club’s Hoofkantoor.
Hofmeyr’s fans came out in numbers to the show to support him. During the show there were singing competitions to test whether the audience really know the lyrics to his songs.
“I will sing a song and you will tell me the name. If you get it right you will win a prize. In the second challenge I will sing a song and someone will then continue with it,” said Hofmeyr.
The locals proved that they were indeed loyal fans by giving the correct titles to the songs he sang and singing the correct lyrics. According to Amorie Coetser, one of the fans in attendance, the show was amazing.
