This is not the first time the ‘t’ from the well-known Thorny Creek security complex has been stolen by vandals with a sense of humour.
By smart use of semantics, Thorny Creek has effectively been turned into ‘Horny Creek’. The sign is visible from the Kaapsehoop Road and on full display for all motorists to see.
Nelspruit Post has reported on a similar case in 2011 when the ‘t’ was removed from the name at the complex’s main entrance. This is now the second reported incident.
