Locals get business savvy at farmers’ market
The idea is to promote local entrepreneurs.
The White River community can look forward to stocking up on the freshest local products every second Saturday of the month.
The Bagdad Farmers’ Market kicked off this Saturday and according to Sue Butowsky and Rowena Tyson, the brains behind this welcome initiative, they were overwhelmed by the interest shown by the community.
“Based on the people’s reaction we can sense that they are desperate for local produce, not forgetting the work of local artists of course,” the two said.
According to them most of the exhibitors are from White River as the idea is to promote local entrepreneurs.
