Golf played to help the needy
Sanlam is the chief sponsor of amateur golf in South Africa through the annual Sanlam Cancer Challenge, the largest amateur golf tournament in Africa and one of the longest-standing sport sponsorships in the country.
Top golfers from all corners of Tubatse participated in the annual Sanlam Cancer Challenge at the Chrome Club this past Saturday.
They teed off at 09:00 and played for most part of the day. The entry fee was R200 and included a boerewors roll and a beer or cold drink. All the winners of the day qualified to enter the next round of the competitions.

The Sanlam Cancer Challenge is held on golf courses countrywide and raises money for the fight against cancer, attracting more than 40 000 golfers annually.
More than R1 million is raised every year in aid of the Cancer Association of South Africa – money spent on cancer prevention and patient care services.
