Deadline looming for comments on proposed ‘highway’

The end of the 40 day comment period on the P166 road’s Draft Environmental Impact Assessment Report is near.

Residents that would like to submit any comments on the proposed “highway” through town are urged to submit their comments by the end of business hours on Monday, July 13.

Comments can be sent to Johan Blignaut at johan.blignaut@rhdhv.com or Paul da Cruz on paul.dacruz@rhdv.com.

Hard copies of the report are available at the White River Library for perusal. An electronic copy of the report as well as specialist study remarks can be downloaded here.

This road has caused residents grief for the past few years and thanks to their efforts an alternative was proposed. This alternative, however, will still have a big impact on the smallholdings on the outskirts of town.
