Greyvan farm offers R100 000 reward after Komatipoort guard’s murder
Police are searching for a group of attackers who tied up guards in a banana packhouse.
Greyvan farm owners are seeking information after a security guard was killed at its property on August 23.

The farm has offered R100 000 award that could lead to the arrest and prosecution of those responsible.
According to the manager of Field Security, they received a call from the owner after reporting multiple gunshots. Upon arrival, the company found two security guards who were assaulted and tied up in a banana packhouse. They had apparently been attacked by an unknown group of men.

One security guard succumbed to his injuries when emergency services arrived at the scene.
Police investigate motive
Police spokesperson Colonel Mavela Masondo confirmed that a murder case has been opened and that the suspects remain at large.

In a similar attack on July 5, another security guard was tied up by a group of perpetrators at the packhouse. The farm is mourning the loss of its colleague and hopes justice will prevail.
