
The Department of Energy has announced the fuel price adjustments for August, and finally it’s good news – all petroleum products prices will drop with effect from midnight tonight.
South Africa’s fuel prices are adjusted on a monthly basis, determined by international and local factors.
The decrease in the prices of all the petroleum products is due mainly to the drop in the crude oil prices during the period under review. The price of Brent crude dropped to below $55 a barrel for the first time in three months amid a global supply glut (oversupply).
