SAPS renovates house

They did so by renovating the house of the 87-year-old Ms Nomsa Ndukuya

BLOCK C – On July 28 members of the Tonga Police Station in partnership with the Community Policing Forum (CPF) devoted their time, energy, and resources to a family affected by crime.

They did so by renovating the house of the 87-year-old Ms Nomsa Ndukuya, which was in an appalling condition.

“We renovated the house by plastering it. We even installed a new door and roofing, and cleared up the overgrown yard. Food parcels and blankets were also handed to the family. Everything went well as the family was happy and appreciated what was done for them.

“We thank all the members for their hard work and all the business people who gave donations to make this project a success. They have showed that they care for the community. It touched us to see how people are suffering all because of people with no conscience and morals. As police we will work hard in fighting crime and will continue assisting other community members that are in need,” explained Tonga SAPS spokesman, Lt Mzwandile Nyambi.

Ndukuya appreciated all that had been done by the police and said she never imagined something like this happening. She is, however, eternally grateful for what has been done for her and her family.
