Two matrics of Accelerated Academy graduate

Thanks to the special syllabus pupils of Accelerated Academy follow, two grade 12 pupils were able to graduate a few months ahead of their public school peers.

Two pupils of Accelerated Academy recently graduated, both very proud of the A+’s they had received. Elzanie Pietersen and Ian van der Walt each received an A+ for computer literacy, with the latter receiving another A+ for life orientation.

As the school follows the Accelerated Christian Education (ACE) curriculum, pupils can complete their education at their own pace. They work at a faster pace and can then graduate a few months earlier than their friends in other schools.

The school also started the second half of the year with an international dinner. This was done to raise funds for a jungle gym and pupils, family, friends and community members were invited.

Parents were tasked to make traditional dishes of various countries like Italy, England, Portugal, Morocco, America and South Africa. The delicious smell of bobotie, moussaka, lasagna, samp, biryani and other dishes tempted many of the guests to have a second helping.

The headmaster, Ms Colleen Kotze, says the dinner was a great success as they managed to raise approximately R3 000. To see what the pupils get up to at school, visit www.acceleratedacademy.co.za.
