She said this after the case of the five males suspected of murder returned to court last Monday.
Their appearance follows the alleged allegations against them when they kidnapped, gang-raped and brutally murdered a 19-year-old learner on August 10 at Nhlazatshe Extension 3.

It is alleged that the five lured Rebecca Shabangu to a hill where they took turns to rape her before they stabbed and stoned her to death,” said Mbokane.
According to him the local Magistrate’s Court was packed as the local people had a great interest in the outcome of the case.
“Some female political activists were peacefully picketing outside the court to support those who were inside in what was their aspiration to have the bail against the five turned down. The matter was postponed to September 26 and the suspects are still in custody.
“This incident has left the community in shock and they have vowed to support one another in ensuring that similar incidences do not happen again,” said Mbokane.
The body of the deceased was discovered five days later by herdsmen who were and they alerted the police.
A pile of blood-stained rocks were also found on he scene and the body had multiple wounds to the face, neck and the whole body.
“Let us work together to fight the monster of abuse in our area. The battle is half-won already since perpetrators are in the minority,” said Mabuza.
Since the beginning of the women’s month, the local police station has received at least 13 reports which are domestic violence related and at least 18 protection orders served.
