The meeting sprouted from social media as the group voiced a deep-seated dissatisfaction about what they called the “destruction of our beautiful town”.

“Trees are being cut down left, right and centre and now the wetlands have been bulldozed. Where will it end?”

The group have organised a meeting with members of the Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Association (MTPA) as well as Mbombela Local Municipality.

All residents who share in the belief that development in the city comes at the cost of the natural environment, are urged to join the meeting.
