14 year sentence for poachers in “dog tracking case”

This high profile case lasted more than two years. Evidence of a KNP tracking dog's conduct contributed to it's outcome.

MBOMBELA – Two Mozambicans accused of having poached rhinos in the Kruger National Park were sentenced in the Nelspruit Regional Court yesterday.

The magistrate, Mr Edward Hall, sentenced Andelius Mukwebe and Jeremano Thive to 14 years’ imprisonment following a much publicized trial that lasted more than two years.
