Open day shows public what Smelter is all about

LYDENBURG – Lydenburg Smelter recently held its annual open day at Thaba Chweu Municipality.

Open days and presentations are an opportunity for the public to learn more about a company. The topics of the day included safety, occupational health, hygiene, environment, community, engineering and procurement.

Learners from local schools were invited to attend and had the opportunity to learn more about the smelter and the requirements they needed to qualify for bursaries.

Various business partners of the smelter attended the open day and the role they played was explained to attendees.

The public did not go home empty handed because they received many goodies and information booklets.
