A special town meeting on various issues affecting the town will be held on Saturday (November 14) from 08:30 at Hoërskool Rob Ferreira’s hall. It was organised by the White River Ratepayers and Residents Association and the local DA councillor, ward committee and the local AfriForum branch will be present to facilitate the discussion.
The foremost issue will be the ward boundaries that Mbombela wants to change, which cut the town in two and combine a part of White River and Msholozi, with discussions about problems at the clinic as well as water and library services also on the table.
This will be residents’ chance to air their grievances and concerns and come forth with any other problems they may have.
The representatives and committees hope to set up petitions for the various issues and get attendees’ signatures to add weight to their concerns.
