Police in Tubatse cluster upgraded.

The commander urged the police to uphold discipline in their new duties at all times. He warned them to abstain from corruption, adding that the fight against corruption has to start from within the force.

BURGERSFORT – Eight constables were promoted to sergeants while five sergeants were upgraded to warrant officers at the Tubatse cluster police’s graduations ceremony.

The event was held at the Burgersfort police station on November 25. Tubatse cluster commander, Maj Gen Masipha Joseph Maepa said the police officers had been outstanding in their duties and were going to ensure services run smoothly at local stations.

“With the population increasing at a very rapid rate, it calls for an increase in the number of police officers to better serve the citizens,” Maepa said. The police who are graduating today will have to pick up their performances. A higher ranking comes with extra responsibility. This is not only about an increase in salaries, its about doubling working standards, ” he said.
