Gateway Christian School Prestige evening
"The more effort you put into something, the more you get out. Often people try to put in 10 per cent effort and they expect 100% rewards."

Gateway Christian School held its prestige evening last week where learners were rewarded for the effort they put in during the school year.
Principal of Victory Christian Academy, Vernon David, was guest speaker for the evening and was introduced by Jonathan Irons after he conducted the welcome and the opening prayer.
Gateway’s band gave a brilliant performance on stage and it was clear that these kids are very talented and, as with the rest of their school careers, take their music very seriously.
In her address, principal Allison Joubert said, “Well done to every child who has made it to this prestigious event. We are proud of who you are and who you are becoming.
“The more effort you put into something, the more you get out. Often people try to put in 10 per cent effort and they expect 100% rewards.”
She also said one often notices that the busier one gets, the better one performs. “It is not always wise trying to stop children from being involved on many fronts so as to get the most out of them in the classroom. It is necessary to expose them to as many events as possibly in an attempt to discover the hidden treasure that lies inside of them.”
She concluded her speech by saying last year’s thoughts are being rewarded now as this year’s accomplishments. “When you go home tonight start to think new thoughts for 2016. Think thoughts that will grow into greatness.”
