Worshippers desperately need the community’s help to build a church
"We were given land where we can erect our church but most of our church members are poor and cannot afford to erect the shelter."
OHRIGSTAD – Pastor Jeffrey Nkuna of the Ohrigstad Farm Ministry is on a mission to build a church at Maepa Village.
For years he has been preaching the Word of God under the trees at the village. During the festive season the church members were spotted having their Christmas lunch under a tree.
“We were given land where we can erect our church but most of our church members are poor and cannot afford to erect the shelter.”
Nkuna said they take youths off the streets and ensure they attend church services.
“We are aiming for a drug-free village with law-abiding youth, but our main challenge is the lack of a building. It is difficult conducting prayers in the open field,” he said. He pleaded with good Samaritans to donate a tent or building materials for his church. He can be contacted on 076-85-8913 or 076-137-9552.
