Charred remains of man found in shack, cause of fire unknown
According to spokesman for Mecklenburg police, Const Kgalake Mampuru, the SAPS were called out to a scene were a shack had caught fire. "The cause of the blaze had not yet been established. The deceased was identified as Mr Kenny Madalane. It is believed that he was living alone in the shack," Mampuru said.
MECKLENBURG – The charred body of a middle-aged man was found at Ga-Maroga 5 during the early hours of Saturday January 16.
According to spokesman for Mecklenburg police, Const Kgalake Mampuru, the SAPS were called out to a scene were a shack had caught fire. “The cause of the blaze had not yet been established. The deceased was identified as Mr Kenny Madalane. It is believed that he was living alone in the shack,” Mampuru said.

• Tubatse police arrested two men (both 22) in connection with the possession of suspected stolen property and burglary.
Their arrests follow after crimes that occurred in Ga-Mashamothane between December 18 and January 10.
According to spokesman for Tubatse SAPS, Const Jerial Movundlela, the complainant alleged that her house was broken into while she had been away and goods such as a fridge, a television, a DVD player, speakers and a kettle were stolen.
“We arrested the suspects on January 12 after the police did follow-ups on the case with the assistance of the complainant and managed to recover some of the stolen items such as the television, DVD player and speakers.”
The suspects appeared in the Praktiseer Magistrate’s Court on charges of possession of suspected stolen property and burglary at residential premises and were not granted bail.
Their case was postponed to January 22.
