Business leads the way in helping the needy

Wishing we all could be the same even though it may not be possible, we can still do something to help the situations of those in need

MALALANE – A local business, the Maputo Corridor Gardening Services, is encouraging individuals and businesses to adopt at least one child, and to care for their school requirements.

Last Tuesday company owners,

Mr Sabelo and Mr Wandile Maloka handed over brand-new school uniforms and shoes to 15 Amazing Grace Orphanage children.

According to Sabelo, this is about caring for your fellow man.

“Wishing we all could be the same even though it may not be possible, we can still do something to help the situations of those in need,” he said.

Sabelo explained that sometimes it was the smallest things such as uniform which caused kids to drop out of school.

“They feel that they don’t fit in wherever they are. Everyone is dressed in one colour and they come dressed in a different ones. Even during lunch sometimes, most children carry lunch boxes and they carry nothing. All those factors influence some children to stop going to school,” he said.

Sabelo added that everyone should adopt a mentality of assisting their neighbour.

“We are all one family and need to care for one another. We are not doing this because these children are from Grace. We wish that we could do it for the entire Nkomazi area, but for now this is only the start,” he said.
