Three die on Sekhukhune Road
Another head-on collision claimed the life of a man on the Sekhukhune Road on Monday night.

LYDENBURG – Another head-on collision claimed the life of a man on the Sekhukhune Road on Monday night.
The man travelling towards town in a blue VW Polo, crashed into an ore-carrying truck. According to Hazmat operator, Mr Deon Broekman, speed played a major role. “The man had to be driving about 180 kilometres per hour. The severity of the impact indicates that the car had to be travelling at an enormous speed.”
The driver died on impact. His body had to be cut from the wreckage with the Jaws of Life. The road was closed for several hours while the scene was cleared.
Last week two trucks also collided head-on on the same road. Both drivers were killed on impact.
