Alverton man dies from mysterious fire

BURGERSFORT – The Khumalo family in Alverton are in distress after a mysterious fire killed their son, Abel “Pontsu” Khumalo (26).

Khumalo died in his room after it allegedly caught fire on May 22 around 22:00.

Speaking to Steelburger/Lydenburg News the deceased’s aunt, Ms Plantinah Magane said she was traumatised to watch her nephew die. “We heard screams and when we arrived at the house, there was a blazing inferno all over the house. We were left with no choice but to see him dying while we tried to douse the fire,” she cried.
